Hans Van Den Broek, the man in charge of the EU's
enlargement, was in Prague to press for substantive
changes and improvements in Czech state administration,
judiciary, banking and the finance sector in general.
Commissioner Van Den Broek lays emphasis also on moves to
restructure the Czech industries, to fight organised
crime, and to resolve, or at least do something about,
the problems of the Czech Roma ethnic minority and its
coexistence with the rest of the Czech population.
