Women against Racism protest Saturday 24 October in Prague
19-10-2009 - Press release

Women against Racism On Saturday, 24 October 2009 at 14:00 on Náměstí Míru in Prague, the Slovo 21 civic association will hold an event entitled "Women against Racism".

The event is open to all men and women who want to protest the current situation with respect to racism.

By holding this protest on United Nations Day, Slovo 21 wants to draw attention to the danger of rising racism and extremism in Czech society. If women have the courage to openly demonstrate their dissatisfaction and express disagreement with this rising racism and extremism, they may effectively motivate those who are indifferent to at least reflect on the results of staying silent about or even silently tolerating manifestations of extremism.
